Click Shift-E, and you engage reverse...click Shift-E again, and you engage forward. There used to be an option to choose throttle mode, allowing > 50% throttle engages forward, < 50% throttle engages reverse...50% throttle is 'neutral'. Not sure if that still works. Thank you for the answer!
