Hi,
You could look at an existing paddle steamer?
The crux is in the boat.cfg file for the prop specifics.
Here is one that works for me:
0 prop_x
7.4 prop_y
-70.6 prop_z
1.0 prop_dx
0.0 prop_dy
0.0 prop_dz
0.0 prop_ux
0.0 prop_uy
0.0 prop_uz

The prop x,y,z would have to be changed to fit your boat. Just notice the rotation on prop_dx !!

This mine one..

but doesnt the paddle wheel spin so fast it looks like its going in reverse? The Waverly's paddle wheels do that in VS
Were you in the boat when the boat tipped over?
No, silly. I was in the water!

The Waverley's paddle did that in real life.

Ever watch old westerns on TV...the stagecoach wheels always seemed to be either stationary or turning backwards...the strobe effect strikes again!!!

Waverley Problem, more suggestions, and a question

Postby tstead » Tue Jul 03, 2012 9:49 am

Put this message here, hope its ok

Inported into VSF

1. the life boat aninamation seem to be at 90 degs to the ship some times and when in the correct direction still does not line up correct, to tell the truth would not really miss it.

2. It seems to be a little slower than specified at 9 knots instead of 14 knots, may be it was the wind speeds? replaced a dinkey in ther dinkey race and tried to run around the island westward, got the the bay where the 2nd towen is on the night delivery and ran out of fuel, maybe with the little extra speed i would have atleast made it to that port.

Just love this ship wounderful work, please make more even Sail steamer like the Great western and sister would be nice.

For me mainly downloading intresting ships to drive but really need a blank senario for each scenery just to drive them
