Oh..okey :shock: Well, thats an odd problem. :geek:
Are those screens from 3ds Max, what version?

I'll give another example, now using automatic wrapping.
I'll start with a planar surface using a tiled texture (default UWV mapping).
After that I convert it to editable poly again to get rid of the modifier.

What is nice here is that 3ds Max 2009 automatically sets the channel to channel 3.

The baking is done. So the channel still remains channel 3 so I change it to channel 1

And now it uses correct UVs again..
At the end I convert it to editable polygon to get rid of theautomatic flatten UVs :)

The baked texture looks like this

I also experienced with a model similar to yours, using the same automatic unwrapping procedure as above.

Before baking:

After baking and with channel set back to channel 1

After converting to editable polygon again (removing the automatic flatten UVs)

It produced this texture map.

No errors or glitches... :geek:
