try saving it as a sketchup 6 file, then see if it works

Hi Captian ACS, You need to export it from sketchup as a 3ds , Deep explorer will not recognize sketchup files as that would render sketchup pro pointless.

After converting your model, did you rename the .x file as "boat.x"?

You're probably better off modelling your own paddle wheels, particularly if you're going to release it for download at some point, unless you have the author's permission to use them. Anyway, the positioning of the propellers (or, in this case, wheels) is controlled via the boat.cfg file. You'll have to play with the x, y and z axis until you get them positioned properly. Your boat is probably going in the wrong direction because you exported it in the wrong direction. Rotate it 180 degrees in Sketchup and export it again.
