SOLVED: Blender lighting help

Postby saken » Wed Jul 13, 2016 7:43 am

I don't know if anybody here knows or uses or have even tried Blender, but in 3ds Max it was not necessary to put a light in the scene to light up the objects. In Blender though, it seems to be necessary as the objects will be pitch black when no "lamp" is added to the scene. My goal here? To light up my ship in Blender, with a simple light to see the contours of the ship.

Nevermind... I found it out myself ;)

Solution: Just experiment... I added a point lamp object into the scene, raised it up and moved it away from the geometry a little, and so I rotated the point lamp object 45 degrees, and so it illuminated the objects quite nicely :)
