How to replace sound effect files? i.e engine, horn

Hi Everyone,

I am attempting to essentially replace a few sounds effects, with other files, named the same as the original files. Naturally, this should just swap the sounds and it should work, but these new files are not being recognised for some reason.
Any ideas?

Are all the new sounds in correct format (wav) and sample rate of 44100, do they sound if you put them to sounds directory? (remember to backup copy the original sounds first) there is also some sounds, you cannot set to custom, i.e. autopilot
