Hi,

i am working on a small Test Project for the Aegan Sea. It includes the Ports of Piraeus and Athen. Its my first Project and it is still many work on this Project.

Here you can see a small Video Preview of Piraeus.




I would be very glad about your opinion and suggestions.

Hello,

many thanks for all your nice comments. Sorry for my late answer, i have had many things to do.
The Aegean Sea is a very big Scenery with many nice small Ilands. Now I have a partner how helps my to update the Aegean Sea. My first priority was the Harbour of Piraeus/Athen, but now we will build some other Harbours for this scenery to. The aim is that we have a big realistic looking scenery with many nice areas and Ports for all kind of boats.
A big problem is that we must look at the performance for the game. I think it is very important that people can drive in this area online with many other players and good details. So we must test a lot of things. It is a very big Scenery and all this needs a lot of time, but I hope we can release a first small version of this area soon.

Here are some first Impressions from two other areas.

A very nice looking scenery ! I like the automatic trafic ;) Could you please tell me how you made it ?
And when will you release the sceneries ?

I'am using Waypoints for the Traffic. Here you can find some manuals for Virtual Sailor. http://www.hangsim.com/vs/help/index.htm
This Addon is planned as a Multiplayer Scenery. My priority objective is that the Scenery can be used with more then ten good detailed ships at one Port.
But today I don't know if it's possible to realize it with the old VS 7 Engine. We have many problems with the performance in this Scenery. So we must optimized and test many thinks. It's not good to release a Scenery that runs only with four good ships on a current gaming pc.

we do what we can that it will look a bit more realistic. It would be very good if we can use accurate depths. But It Is a very big Scenery and so It Is not possible to do It.

But i will do my best that the Depht looks a bit more realistic too.

Can you make a couple of dry-docks? with assorted sizes. like for small boats,ships like the QM2 or Poseidon,or huge like jhare viking?
