Ilan, that is a major leap forward in my book.

I've tested it on the Faroer Islands (with Etopo2 data) and it's extreme! Wow! It works.

observation:
For the map/topo I think the simple.bmp you have in VS would be the best way to present the graphical representation of the scenario?

This is very exciting stuff!

Ignore my topo above, just think map only. (map should be simple.bmp)

It would be fantastic if there could be a txt.bmp where you could asign a texture to selected pixels on the map, the "new" topo?

You used magic on a photography program you published earlier, is there some code you could use to fade one texture into another?
