Hello,

i found the problem.
The Downloadlink is for "3D Rad" but for the Sketchup-Plugin you need "3D Radexporter.
Here the direct-link to the program:
http://www.3drad.com/Google-SketchUp-To-DirectX-XNA-Exporter-Plug-in.htm
Unzip the archie and copy the file "3DRadExporter.rbs" into the sketchup-plugin-folder.
The rest of the tutorial is absolutely correct and the program works fine! ;-)

Christian

That's entirely up to you.

But beware.... A sketchup model must always pitch in the direction of the green line (not the other green line).

And if you make a model to small, the ship will be underwater. If you make the ship to big, then the keel and others under the waterline will be visible and you almost won't be able to dock your ships (cause of the size).

Hello,

sorry, but this is not correct.
Make the size of a ship relative to other ship models. This is the easiest way.
When you export the ship into VS, you can change the draft in the boat.cfg. That's all.

For the right ship-position in sketchup look here:
http://hangsim.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=913&p=10989#p10989

I hope, this can help...

Whenever I try to save my sketchup models sketchup freezes and won't let me export them. What do I have to do? :(
