Help with either Sailsf.x or anim.x

Hey Guys,

I've recently been working on the Disney Dream & Disney Fantasy models so far everything has been running smoothly (apart from 3D rad importing as a 50mb+ file....)

I have also got around to adding lights to the ships.....which is where my problems are

My biggest problem are the "day covers" which are saved as: sailsf.x when naming them this they act as sails and are always spinning and are difficult to line up with the ship again unless the wind is head on.

So my question is:

Could any of you find people help me with my problem of either keep the "sails" locked in line with the ship?
or
Help me creating a anim.x file for her using sketchup?

Hope some of you guys can help.

Hey Robby,
Nice work.

I found that in VSF you have to create sailsl.x and sailr.x as blank empty .x files it should work perfectly.
If you only use sailsf.x VSF creates or uses dummy sails.
Worked for me every time.

I'll give it ago when you say "blank empty" do you mean with no objects at all?

yep, I just create the sailsl and sailr as just empty space and save as the .x files
No need to put anything in the space/world. Just an empty named .x file
That just keeps VSF from assuming there are actual sails. I know it sounds odd. But it works.

Hey Guys,

Sorry for bringing up an old topic but is it possible for the Light.x to be a sail?

Because I am currently having problems with flickering of most of my texture it might not be just a light problem though as It has started occuring to all my vessels :/

maybe changer sailbf(is this the lights or this?).x to anim.x so you can make it an animation :)

it is better than lights flickering outside the hull! :lol: :lol: :lol:
