Thanks all for your comments.

Long time I've not posted an update. After a heck of additional work during the past month, here's the most recent one. Exteriors are 99% completed I think. I've rebuilt the hull as well since I had some strange graphic bugs there due to the conversion from the original one (although that one had none) and I took that opportunity to redo the anchor casing, now more true to the original one (Andrew will be happy :) ). A few minor corrections or additions here and there and it will be ok. I still have to complete the night lighting and of course the bridge and instruments.

Indeed I am quite pleased. I do apologize for not being active for a little while. Things have been crazy with me moving out of my parents house into my own apartment. Trying to get started out on my own is alot of work for a 19 year old. Dom...your model is incredible. I would love to do a sort of "commercial" for Youtube advertising the Mauretania's release (once and IF you decide to release her) I have tons of different soundtracks and selections of pieces that would be most upbeat and sort of patriotic to go with some awesome shots of Mauretania slicing through her element. All of this is just an idea though, but it would seriously get people interested in buying Mauretania. Its like people going to McDonald's after seeing a Frappe commercial or a commercial promoting a new item. If the product looks good in commercial, it will draw people into purchasing it to try it out for themselves. An odd way of putting this, I know but this is 100% true! (at least it is where i come from. ) I wish you luck with finishing this wonderful ship. Maybe next you could do NORMANDIE?

Kind regards,
Andrew

Many thanks again all for your replies.
Andrew, yes a video is something I'll study for this addon as well. Of course you'll be free to make one if you want once the addon will be available.
That sure makes some non VS/VSF users wanting to acquire it as well as to acquire VSF indeed, but I don't expect large numbers at all... believe me, I speak by experience after the videos made with my other liners.

The VS/VSF community is a so tiny one that we're only speaking about a few dozens of additional users thanks to these videos, not a few hundreds, but that's better than nothing at all, for both us addons developpers and for Ilan as well. Actually the forums do bring more people in VSF world than the YouTube videos.
And that's a pity there's no retailers (actual boxes or download product, with a wellknown editor in both cases) for VSF, there would be no comparison as far as VSF and addons sales are concerned. Besides, VSF does deserve to be much more wellknown and spread across the consumers world.

Night lighting (will be a sail so users will be able to choose to display it or not) is now 99% completed.

Oops, I'm grounded now... that's what happens when the captain spends his time on wandering aboard for taking photos instead of actually sailing the ship during these sea trials, especially on narrow passage such as the Trave. Looks like his brief career as captain of the RMS MAURETANIA is now over!
