Thank all for your comments and interest.

Andrew wrote:Thank you very much for the info Dom. As for the whistle, i have a copy in .wav format and it works in Virtual Sailor and it is from the Mauretania and i also have another one from a British Pathe recording of Mauretania on one of her many cruises. I'll send them both to you in the next few days.

Kostas has already sent one to me (thanks again to you Kostas), but you can send the ones you have as well, I'll keep the one the more easily editable et the more realistic one in VSF.

Andrew wrote:It is slightly disappointing that you can really fix the anchor casing because it is definitely one of those things that differed Mauretania from Lusitania and the squared off one is differently from Lusitania. I might could give it a try at fixing it if you like?

Hey, I've never said I won't correct it, but only I'm not sure if I'll correct it. Don't worry, I know what to do there to fix it but that will be a heck of work messing with the original mesh there. I don't have the motivation to do it now but knowing me and my will to not leave too much remarkable things uncorrected and my will to be as much acceptably accurate as possible, I'm almost sure I'll try to fix it, but I think it will be near the end of the completion of the addon.

Andrew wrote:Another thing i noticed about your model is that the white boot topping at the bottom is too wide. On Mauretania, it was only a couple of inches at the most and this one looks like a foot or 2 wide. I do hope this might can be fixed as well because i know how much you like to have an as accurate of a ship as possible.

Yes I know as well, will probably fix it later as well.

Andrew wrote:The font, i do know of a picture of the ship's nameplate that was on the side of the ship after it was removed during scrapping in 1936. I need to scan it but you can see the ship's name plate pretty well. Oh, and also for the sake of accuracy, can you find out of Mauretania's name letters were painted gold or white when her hull was black, i do believe they were painted gold, or brass plated.

Don't worry, I already have this photo with the scrapyard worker removing the white paint from this large nameplate removed from the ship in one of my books. But thanks anyway.

Andrew wrote:Hope this will help in the building of the ship! Good luck Dom.

Yes that helps me in making this addon better, thank you.

Dom.

Behold the new invisible paint applied to the funnels, this was suposed to be the original paint but they changed it to black after scaring everybody to death.
