USS Cavalla - SSN 684

Postby Bartolomeus » Wed May 30, 2012 3:58 pm

Before the Plunger is ready to launch I will release this project (due to the mesh error). The Sturgeon class submarine USS Cavalla.

The exterior is finished. Iam working on the bump and specular maps.

The upper deck with the control room. If someone knows the location of the sonar room, please write. ;)

Looks really good Marko! Very nice modeling job.
Would be nice if we can have a deployable sonar array, with Ctrl C, like a canopy, even if the translation would obviously be much shorter than in real life.

As for the sonar room, I'm not sure at all on the STURGEON class, but I believe it is just ahead of the control room.

Good luck on the bump-mapping and reflection effects.

Dom.

Thx Dom and Clayton!

Nice idea with the towed array sonar! I hope it looks good during turns with the deployed sonar. :?:

Mh, ok I think Mike could help with the control room. Thx again Dom!

I like the interior you have modeled! It looks just as spacious yet cramped as a real sub! Good job :)
