It recovered all my files, but they were corrupted... so I gave TestDisk a try. And to my surprise, I could completely restore all my files!

I am so relieved right now... just thought I'd share this... XD

That is a major relieve.

Although all of the .blend files were recovered... their names are all messed up XD So I'm of course going to keep all of them, but I will only keep them in a "old saves" folder, and the latest one in a "current" folder :)

At the very least, yes! XD I will see if I can restore the files names as well now though.

Update as of July 7, 2017.

Dear community,

The work in progress has slowed a little, but not to worry! I'm not dead, and I won't stop until I am

I have adjusted the stern :) (and also the rudder has been modified once more ;))

Dear community,

I recently watched a video at YouTube, showing close-up's of the superstructure, and so I made some more adjustments :)

New problem: N-gons!

Postby saken » Sat Aug 05, 2017 10:36 pm

So... I have modeled, and sure she looks nice and all... but she's filled with n-gons! Especially in the front superstructure! So, I read that triangulating the faces with more than four vertices, then turning the triangles into quads would do it. But this does not always work all the way, and now is such a time, it seems...

So, any modeler here with the experience of n-gons is welcome with advice on how to turn n-gons into quads :)

EDIT: Now when I think about it... I don't think it's so serious... it looks okay in-game.
Kind Regards,

saken

Took it for a spin yesterday but noticed the engine may be a bit overpowered. I believe it took around an hour to get to around 10 knots in real live. I could be mistaken though. Currently around 1 minut or less to 10 knots.
