"Realistic Boat Scale" in VS, not in VSF?

Postby TobiasJorgensen on Thu Jul 22, 2010 8:03 am

Hello everybody!

I'm considering buying VSF for a change. But i am trying the demo right now, and i can't find the "Realistic Boat Scale" - i have integrated Between The Seas 3 and M/F Vana Tallinn, but the ferry is very small...

Is it possible to change that?

TobiasJorgensen.

The scale in VSF works just fine 1 meter is 1 meter.
A while back I made a measuring stick that can help you better assess the size of your model. See the WIP m-113 topic.
If the model is too small or too big you can scale it by changing the "scale factor" value in the "vehicle.cfg" file.

Have a nice day.

The scale factor value for boats made for VS is 0.3048 which should be put in the vhicle.cfg file. However, with the latest version of VSF boats made for VS should import into VSF without any intervention from the user other than ensuring that ALL subdirectories are copied over as well e.g panels, instruments boat etc.
