VSF quits - no error message in windows log

Postby hjsmuc » Sat Jan 10, 2015 12:31 am

Hi guys,

After running without any issues for a very long time, VSF now crashes upon launch. No error is shown in the windows log but the following is shown in the VSF logfile:

D3DERR_INVALIDCALL scene_proxie.cpp line 96
D3DERR_INVALIDCALL d3d_app.cpp line 1476
D3DERR_INVALIDCALL d3d_app.cpp line 1476
D3DERR_INVALIDCALL d3d_app.cpp line 1476
D3DERR_INVALIDCALL d3d_app.cpp line 1523
D3DERR_INVALIDCALL d3d_app.cpp line 1523
D3DERR_INVALIDCALL d3d_app.cpp line 1476
D3DERR_INVALIDCALL d3d_app.cpp line 1476
D3DERR_INVALIDCALL d3d_app.cpp line 1476
D3DERR_INVALIDCALL d3d_app.cpp line 1476
D3DERR_INVALIDCALL d3d_app.cpp line 1476
D3DERR_INVALIDCALL scene_proxie.cpp line 96

Is this more likely a driver or a scenery issue? I am running the latest 344.80 fron NVIDIA which I kind of need for Prepar3D.

Did anyone observe anything similar?

Thanks and best regards
Hans

UPDATE: I did the obvious and deleted my ini file. Sim now starts again but I would still like to understand what was wrong with my last saved scenery. Maybe someone can explain.
