Good morning from Gothenburg, Sweden!

I thought maybe it would be nice with a screenshot thread. So I'll start!

Congratulations, Captain!

This is the first, tiny green sprout that chops up concrete.
Life is returning!

However, it should be recognized that it's a pretty big sprout.

FWIW, neither image is visible to me, even if I right-click to "view image".

Hmm. That's weird. I can see them, despite not being logged into OneDrive.com. Now I've updated the links though.

Either the on-board computers have been hacked or VSF has gone mad and is turning into HAL9000...It's taking control! Folks, this is not a set-up, it's real! Are we safe?

I finally got my tanker into Virtual Sailor NG (8.0) which I plan to buy as soon as possible. For now, this is all I have to show. It's late, and I'm off.

G'night to you all, and fair winds as usual!

I found out that you can modify and enlarge any scenery map.jpg background image used in map viewer in VS and replace it with whatever map you have(with some palette restrictions). Here I replaced the default map background with map grabbed from C-Map making the system look bit more like real ECDIS.

That map looks interesting. I’m going to have to look at that.

Interesting, how did you grab the map? Screenshot or some export function? And which map background file did you replace in VS? I tried it with a scenery map but that resulted in a strange look. Thanks for a heads up.

Hi, first I opened the default map.jpg and enlargened it from 2048x2048 in Photoshop to 8192x8192 (I think the size must be power of two, 2048x2048, 4096x4096 etc..). Then I took screenshots from C-Map and added them to the proper place and size in Photoshop over the default map and saved the jpg.

So after a long absence, I'm back. More particularly with my tanker, here approaching the Port of Gothenburg. My hometown :D

Taking it very slowly through the entrance to the harbour area...
