Thanks,
I'm guessing I put in around 250 hours creating her.
1,374 separate parts.
reduced to 222 after optimizing.
Whew!

She is almost exactly like she was in 1986 when I sold her.

Aloha
She's docked at the Lahaina Harbor in the Maui Scenery.

Your right the Maui scenery really doesn't work very well in VSF.
About 2/3rds of the vegetation and some of the models refuse to show up.

Odd,
Check to see if you have any other Hawaii scenery.
There can only be one (as far as I know).

Not a problem.
I've tried to fix the Maui scenery for VSF.
I don't know what's causing the problems.

Maybe someday I'll figure it our/
Limit for jpg, .bmp???

Many thanks, Steve. I bought her as soon as I got in from work this evening and saw she was available. What an absolute beauty! I had to laugh when I saw Farley Mowat's 'Boat Who Wouldn't Float' on the shelf in the saloon - I've got all his books and that's my favourite. I'm so glad you didn't fit Minstrel with the Bullgine!

Birds of a feather...
Steve and I have been discussing Farley's books, esp since one beta version of Minstrel had them floating through the cabin when sailing downwind. Steve used "Spine" in his hierarchy for the book faces...VSF read that as "Spin', as in Spinnaker!
I have several of Farley's books, "The Boat Who Wouldn't Float" being my favorite...along with "A Whale for the Killing". Just the right sort of classic seagoing literature to carry on such a classic yacht.

I've already delivered kudoes to Steve elsewhere, but at the risk of repeating...Minstrel_VSF represents the pinnacle of 3D modeling...in VSF, or anywhere. As a lifelong fellow 'rag sailor', I can honestly say this is as real as it gets. The weathering, scupper stains, rust at the exhaust, sail wrinkles, tarnished bronze, and the streaky, scummy bottom paint...the only thing missing is a bucket of cold salt spray in the face!

Thanks SJ.
And yes Farley Mowatt and The Boat That Wouldn't float is Absolutely Classic!!
And was on my boat.

SJ actually got a shot of the 'missing' Books. Strangely moving across the salon. And Just after Farley's passing,

Too Funny. Or is it too soon. ;)
