Hi all,
Years ago I stopped using VSF but it never really left me.
Today, and there is no easy way to say this, I saw an obituary with a familiar name.
Illan Papini, died today Sunday February 11th.
He crashed his plane on Friday due to probably a bird strike, investigation is pending. He was brought to hospital where he died.
Rest In Please Illan.

Thanks matto_mati,

I had just received this terrible news from another friend via email, and came to see if the community was informed yet.

Rest in Peace Ilan.
My condolences, and prayers to your family. I am very sorry to hear of your loss.

Regards.
Dave

Heartbreaking. Rest in peace, my friend and thank you for everything.

I have known Ilan since 2005 when I still lived in my native country. I could not even afford Virtual Sailor back then - Ilan kindheartedly offered it to me, and he even sent me a T-shirt from Israel.

May his soul roam freely.
