You know, I've never seen The African Queen (movie) but your modeling skills are beyond great so I have no doubt this will be a great reproduction. Imagine the Orca you could build....wow...

Thank you very much! If you haven't seen it, I recommened it. Here's the trailer for the film. It's really quite good! Humphrey Bogart is great in it!

Her bow's now all loaded with provisions, boxes of blasting gelatin, and the two cylinders containing oxygen and hydrogen. I still need to add the bundles of wood for the boiler. I've also included a render showing how she currently looks overall.

So what's left of the modeling so far? The bundles of wood, the box behind the engine, the canopy (I'll make it removable) the anchor and anchor winch, and some small details here and there. Then I'll start getting her into VSF

I'm just letting you know this project is still happening! I just haven't done anything worthy of a screenshot/render or two, but it is still going She's currently being put in game, even though the modeling isn't finished. When the CFG's done, I'll upload some pics!

She's now in VSF Her CFG and elements files were done by Sailor John, who's done a fantastic job with them - she sails at a top speed of 6 knots, and behaves wonderfully.

I'll let the pictures speak for themselves, but as you can see she has her canopy, which can be removed in game, as can the Union Jack. Both are sails, so you can have none, either, or both when you're sailing. Since the whistle cord connects to the canopy support, I didn't know what to do when the canopy was removed, so what I've done is make a cord hang down as a sail, when the canopy is removed. When you put the canopy 'sail' up, the cord removed, and is replaced with the longer one connected to the canopy. I've also added the piles of wood down in the bow.

In game, she has the actual engine sound from the film, and I found a sound effect file for a whistle, which I edited to sound just like the one from the film
