Sea of Marmara - sea of marble.
The Sea of Marmara is an inland sea that separates the
Black Sea from the Aegean Sea (thus Asian part of Turkey
from European part) by Bosporus and Dardanelles.
There are two major island groups known as Prince and
Marmara islands.
The latter group is rich in sources of marble and gives
the sea its name (marmaros is the Greek word for marble).
This scenery comes together with the registered versions
6.0 and onwards, if you have this scenery there is no

The impressive scenery of the Suez
Canal has outstanding detail and realism.
It is the result of months of hard work by
Andres
Merino which used
all the nautical charts of the canal to produce a very
detailed and realistic navigation experience.
All the docks, bouys, lights and

This beatiful Between the Seas scenery was
created by Guenter Lurz and released on 9/4/2002.
The area around Denmark, southern Sweden and
northern Germany, parts of the Netherlands and
Poland are challenging to sail and navigate.

Since Between2 is a complex scenery, please refer
the readme.txt.
The scenery was created from maps, and although
updates will appear from time to time, it will
never be finished.
I have borrowed many objects from other scenery
designers.
Many thanks to them and especially to Juergen
Klemp who encouraged me with his excellent
sceneries of Schleimnde, Sonderborg, Faborg, and
Svendborg, the models of his wonderful boats and
other sophisticated objects.
This scenery will improve with your
feedback!"
Guenter Lurz
Note: The author has made every effort
to make this scenery as detailed and as realistic
as possible, the purpose of these updates is to
enhance the scenery and make the it more detailed
and accurate.

"The Balearic Islands, which
lie in the the Western Mediterranean off the coast of
mainland Spain, were frequented in antiquity by
Phoenicians, Greeks and Romans and in modern times are
visited by tourists from all over the world. It would be
impossible to reproduce the beauty of this Mediterranean
Paradise so I have merely tried to accurately represent
the basic navigational features of the waters around the
islands, without attempting to reproduce the wonderful
landscapes."

"The
Strait of Gibraltar is the entrance to the
Mediterranean Sea.
This strait, known in antiquity as the
"Pillars of Hercules," is one of the
busiest maritime traffic areas in the world and
its currents, shallows, fog and bad weather make
passage through it a challenge for any sailor.
I have produced this scenario based on the
information available for the most important
harbors in the area and on experience accumulated
over a long period of time by various
organizations.
Nevertheless, I have had to find a balance
between introducing more detail about the ports
and the corresponding reduction in processing
speed that this involves. I hope you enjoy using
it as much as I did designing it."The
beautiful Gibraltar scenery was created by Andres Merino
